Below you'll find a list of productions and workshops that are available for booking throughout the 2008/2009 school year.  I am also available for corporate performances, and I'm happy to discuss comissioning work for a special occasion or event.

    Description

    Using poetry, puppets, masks, music and madcap clowning Jim Dalling presents LOKI'S BIG DREAM a story about how special people can inspire us to make our dreams reality.

    Loki is a young boy with a special person in his life - his grandpa.  Loki's grandpa ignites Loki's imagination inspiring a fantastic world of dreams.  This world comes to life through magical masks, cartoon puppets and otherworldly set changes culminating in an off the wall climax of percussion and audience participation.

    Imagination, inspiration and effort all come together to bring LOKI'S BIG DREAM to life as an enchanting and playful adventure into the unknown.

    A clown show about forest ecology.

    Welcome Professor Stinky the Fish to your school! Using humor, slap-stick comedy, masks, puppets, stories and songs Professor Fish delights students with this off the wall interactive “lecture” about our vital connection to the forest. Professor Fish amazes students with his sometimes hilarious, sometimes moving antics while acting as a catalyst for learning about forest ecology.

     


     

  • Workshops & Teaching   ( 6 Articles )

    I have been an artist educator facilitating aesthetic experiences since 1995.  Since then I have led workshops for a broad range of participants in diverse venues including workshops:  in schools, for teachers (as part of additional qualification courses), within the youth justice system, on a tall ship, for adults with mental health difficulties, mentally challenged adults, as part of leadership camps and in a conservatory setting for both professional and pre-professional artists.

    Classes range from a single class demonstration and workshop to residences up to a month in length.  Currently I offer workshops in mask performance, mask making and clowning.  Please don't hesitate to contact me as anything is possible.
